Keila J. Brown is a creative storyteller based in Los Angeles.

At a young age, Keila showed passion and promise as a creator and leader by directing and performing in her own skits. She won essay contests throughout the state of Georgia and started her first business selling homemade candles at the age of thirteen…

Upon winning a full-tuition leadership scholarship through the POSSE Foundation, Keila went on to earn a BA in Film Production at Bard College where she wrote, directed, and starred in the web series, STUDENTS, as her thesis.

Shortly after her studies, she focused on acting, appearing in film and television projects like LAW & ORDER: SVU, TRUE MEMOIRS OF AN INTERNATIONAL ASSASSIN (starring Kevin James and Andy Garcia), KEVIN (PROBABLY) SAVES THE WORLD (starring Jason Ritter), FOREVER MY GIRL, and much more.

Keila continues to write, earning her MFA in Screenwriting from Emerson College annd being selected as a Sundance Knights Fellow. As a self-professed Sci-Fi geek, Keila loves pushing the boundaries of genre stories featuring people of color and has served as a contributing writer for digital platforms such as PRETTY, BROWN, & NERDY and as an Associate Editor for QUIRKTASTIC.CO.

In addition to providing script coverage for writers and producers, Keila is currently writing her first book. 





As a self-professed sci-fi geek, Keila looks forward to pushing the boundaries of genre stories featuring people of color.

Upon winning a full-tuition leadership scholarship through the POSSE Foundation, Keila went on to earn a BA in film production at Bard College where she wrote, directed, and starred in the web series, "S T U D E N T S" as her thesis.

She has since returned to Atlanta where she has acted in projects like "True Memoirs of an International Assassin," "Kevin Saves The World," "Forever My Girl," and much more. Her next screen ventures include starring in the short film, Thursday, directed by noted casting director Erica Arvold and co-directing the short film, "Legacy" alongside award-winning director, Nicole Tay.

 

 Keila continues to write having been selected as a participant in the 2019 Sundance Knights Macon Screenwriting Intensive in addition to working as an associate editor for Quirktastic.co and writing her first book.
